Anthony Lurling is leaving NAC Breda. The former attacker returns to his old love FC Den Bosch, where he will work in the youth academy for the next two years and will become a trainer at the Under 16. Lurling returned to NAC Breda in the 2020-2021 season as an assistant coach and striker coach.

“Working in that region also has a practical advantage for me in addition to sporting challenges. I drive to the Den Bosch stadium in five minutes,” says Lurling at the club site of NAC Breda. “I’m not leaving because I really wanted to leave NAC, not at all. But the offer from Den Bosch came quickly, and I decided to accept it.”

The former SC Heerenveen attacker made his debut at FC Den Bosch in professional football, in the period that Ruud van Nistelrooij also played there. “That was a good time, when I attached myself to that club. Just as I felt very much at home at NAC. Who knows, maybe our paths will cross again.”

“In any case, I will remain a member of Oud NAC, I still occasionally play in yellow and black,” said Lurling, who played in Friesland in two periods. From 1999 to 2002, the former attacker already played with the Frisians, and even in the Champions League. In 2014, Lurling returned to SC Heerenveen for a short period, but after a few months he left for FC Den Bosch to end his career there.
