The Grenoblois won 8-2 in the first round. Revenge from this Wednesday.
Grenoble crushed Rouen 8-2 in the first match of the final series played in the best of seven meetings between the two teams that have dominated French ice hockey in recent years, Tuesday at the South Pole ice rink.
Driven by some 4,200 excited supporters, the Wolf Burners left only crumbs to the Rouen Dragons, second in the regular season and eleven times crowned since 2000.
The score is final: the Grenoble, conquerors, showed discipline and skill in both surfaces, winning this first act against the Dragons submerged and unable to react.
The two teams meet on Wednesday (8:30 p.m.) for the second match of the series, again on the Grenoble ice rink.
