Clashes after Verona-Naples, 24 Daspo to ultras Hellas and Triestina – Calcio

(ANSA) – VERONA, APRIL 29 – There are 24 ‘Daspo’ signed and notified by the Verona Police Headquarters against 20 Hellas Verona fans and four Triestina supporters, who had gone to Verona for the Verona match -Naples, played at the Bentegodi stadium on August 15th.

The measures applied range from one year for an unprecedented eight fans, to two for a further six fans, three years for one, five for a further four and seven for two. For three other fans, already recipients of Daspo, the aggravation from 4 to 7 years has taken place.

The facts date back to the evening of last August 15, at the end of the Hellas Verona-Naples match. A group of Verona ultras had first tried to reach the parking lot used for guests, then had chased some Neapolitan fans on foot with the intention of attacking them. The action had been interrupted by the Digos policemen; one of the agents, while trying to identify a completely misrepresented local ultras, had been made the target of shoving and beatings by the other Veronese fans who had gathered together and had maintained a hostile and violent attitude towards the police Police.

At the end of the investigations, the perpetrators of the violence were identified and Police Chief Roberto Massucci adopted the preventive measures. The episode – underlines a note from the Scaliger Police Headquarters – confirms a resumption of particularly serious episodes in a context of resurgence also confirmed on a national level.
