Just like every year we were able to catch a lot of April fish and that of the Belgian W Racing Team turned out to be a bull’s eye.
Since the formation of the Belgian racing team in 2009, they have worked hard at WRT, so from next year in the WEC they will act as BMW’s works team with their LMDh cars.
On April 1, the team sent out a message via social media stating that they would be submitting their candidacy to participate in the F1 championship. This was an April fish, but apparently the message was very credible. After all, Vincent Vosse, the manager of WRT, was called from Australia by several managers.
Given the successful history of the team, they can take that as a compliment at WRT. Vincent Vosse had a hearty laugh about it…
