My special congratulations to all the winners, highlighting the youth of most of them, especially that of Miguel Merino, Blanca Borreguero and the women’s épée fencing team. These acknowledgments are granted, on the one hand, in relation to sports results, but mainly what is recognized is the effort, dedication and commitment not only of the athlete himself but also of the closest environment, such as the family, a fundamental part in sports development of children and youth. I also want to highlight and thank Adriana Cerezo and her coach, Jesús Ramal, for their availability to attend this gala. For our municipality, it is an honor to have the presence of an Olympic medalist.”
