Work on the new Clippers hall is progressing very quickly

NBA – The Intuit Dome, a new Clippers hall, whose work is progressing rapidly, should open its doors in 2024. A new $2 billion venue that has everything to be the most modern hall in the NBA.

Soon, the Clippers will no longer share the same room as the Lakers. Indeed, the construction of the new hall of the other Los Angeles team is progressing extremely quickly. From its full name “Intuit Dome”, the new home of the Clippers will be located in Inglewood, in the southwestern suburbs of Los Angeles. Steve Ballmer’s new jewel, costing $2 billion, will have a steel cover on its roof.

“It will be an incredible room, a great experience” said Jerry West. “It should be a fantastic place for anyone who comes”.

The hall is due to open at the dawn of the 2024/2025 season, although work did not start until September 2021. According to the company building the set, the structure will be indoor/outdoor and will include a space with bars and a restaurant. The exterior will even be optimized for solar energy. The site will also include five basketball courts, more than any other venue in the league.

More than 1,160 toilets and urinals

Although the room won’t be ready until 2024, the team met earlier this week for a preview presentation. A presentation which was marked by an always very enthusiastic speech by Steve Ballmer, owner of the franchise. The latter has invested heavily in a particular place in the new room…

” Toilet ! There will be 1,160 toilets and urinals! Three times the NBA average! » supported by Steve Ballmer. “We don’t want people to wait. We want them back to their fuckin’ seat”.

Even if it may seem quite anecdotal, Steve Ballmer’s initiative is quite understandable. During NBA games, we often see a lot of empty seats at the beginning of the 3rd quarter because of the queue in front of the toilets. At least, at the Intuit Dome, the problem will be solved because normally, with this new total, accessibility and waiting time to go to the bathroom should no longer be a concern.
