Without Ja Morant, Grizzlies outclass Warriors in NBA

Stuck in an extra-sporting controversy after the sidelining of Ja Morant, suspended for displaying himself with a gun live on Instagram, the Grizzlies were imperial on the floor by outclassing the Warriors (131-110) .

Taylor Jenkins’ men started the game in the best possible way and were already leading by 20 points after 12 minutes of play (48-28), the lead stabilizing at 18 points at the break. Very prolific in the pass (11 in total), Tyus Jones also scored 22 points and took 4 rebounds. The point guard was replaced by Jaren Jackson Jr. The interior scored 21 points, took 9 rebounds and made 3 assists. Skillful shooting and reliable behind the arc, Desmond Bane also contributed to the success of Memphis with 21 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists at 56% shooting, including 40% at three points.

Proof of their compatibility, the Grizzlies totaled 36 assists last night on 50 shots scored.

A bench too shy at the Warriors

At the Warriors, too few players apart from Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole have brought enough offensively. The first scored 29 points, captured 7 catches and delivered 4 assists (53% shooting) while the second scored 22 points, took 3 rebounds and distilled 4 assists. The double MVP is also the only player on his team with André Iguodala to have a + / – positive (2). Draymond Green certainly delivered a rather complete performance and above his standards in attack (16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists), but Klay Thompson was in difficulty at long distance (2/7) and only scored 14 stitches. On the bench, apart from Ty Jerome (11 points), no player has exceeded the bar of 10 units.

In the 3rd quarter, the Warriors tried to come back with a 34-22 inflicted on the period, but Steve Kerr’s men were outclassed in the last quarter and scored only 17 points (131-110 in final).

This victory allowed Memphis to post a 60% win rate after 65 matches. The Warriors are sixth with the same record as Dallas and Minnesota (34 v., 33 d.).
