The complete pairs for the quarterfinals of the hockey extraleague playoffs are: Pardubice – Olomouc, Vítkovice – Brno, Sparta – Třinec and Hradec Králové – Liberec. Liberec has not missed the quarter-finals since 2015. Last year, Plzeň was eliminated in the preliminary round by Mlada Boleslav, despite leading twice in the series.
Olomouc completed its fourth participation in the quarter-finals in the last five completed seasons. Karlovy Vary have been waiting for the quarter-finals since 2009, when they won the title.

Pilsen had a great start, in the 9th minute they already led 3:0, but in the end, from twelfth place after the regular season, they did not make it past the fifth Bílá Tigry. She was eliminated in the preliminary round for the third time in a row and finished the worst since the 2016/17 season, when she took 13th place.
In Olomouc, striker Jakub Orsava was the architect of Hanák’s decisive victory with two goals and one assist. He is the most productive player with eight points and the best scorer in the elimination round with five goals. Slovakian goalkeeper Branislav Konrád contributed to the success with a clean sheet, the first in the playoffs, with 25 successful saves.
