We won’t see Damian Lillard again with Portland in 2022-23

Out of the race for the play-offs, the Portland club will play the end of the season without its star leader.

Already the holidays for Damian Lillard. As Bleacher Report reported on Tuesday, the Trail Blazers have decided to do without the services of their star point guard, injured in the calf, for their last seven games of the season. Seven-time All Star, “Dame” has missed Portland’s last three games, beaten in nine of its last 10 games almost out of the running for a play-in place with a modest 13th place in the Western Conference standings (32- 43). A team pursued by bad luck, with Jerami Grant (quadriceps), Jusuf Nurkic (knee) and Anfernee Simons (foot) who are also stuck in the infirmary. Galley season in Oregon.

After only being able to play 29 games in 2021-22, Lillard, 32, completed the 2022-23 season, his 11th with Portland, with a personal best 32.2 points and 7.3 assists in 58 matches.
