Waiting for Eriksen’s Return at MU

Jakarta – Manchester United provide the latest news regarding the condition of Christian Eriksen. The Danish midfielder is expected to return to action in April.

Quoted from detikSport, Eriksen has been absent from playing for MU since last January. He suffered an ankle ligament injury in the FA Cup match against Reading. The injury caused Eriksen to play late April to early May at the earliest.

Indeed, MU can win the 2022/2023 Carabao Cup without Eriksen. However, Eriksen’s presence is still needed considering that MU still has the chance to win two tournaments namely the FA Cup and Europa League.

It is certain that MU fans and players hope that Eriksen can appear again before this season is over, even though it will be difficult to reach 100 percent condition in a short time.

So, regarding the continuation of Eriksen’s fate this season, MU fans have received good news. The Dane made significant progress in his recovery process.

Therefore, the 31-year-old footballer is expected to be able to play again around mid-April.

“Yes, he can play again around April. The recovery process is going very well, smoothly,” said MU manager Erik ten Hag on the club’s official website.

“His development is very good and we will see how it develops in the next few weeks.”

Christian Eriksen is certain to be absent from defending Denmark in the Euro 2024 qualifiers this month, as well as the 2022/2023 FA Cup match against Fulham this weekend.

However, with MU having to go through nine matches throughout April, including two Europa League quarter-finals against Sevilla, Eriksen still has the chance to appear there.
