Twenty-sixth day of the Euroleague for Virtus Segafredo Bologna which is a guest of Fenerbahce. Fought and physical match right from the start with Segafredo who manages to extend to 7-12 but Fenerbahce with Motley manages to come back and overtake on a score of 13-12. After the televised time-out, the hosts sign a 9-0 run with three consecutive shots from beyond the arc, which are worth the new lead of 22-14: Virtus time out to register the defense. The Turks continue to hit from the arc consistently, recording an unreal 7/12 from three-point range, opening a 25-2 run and closing the first quarter on 33-14. Even in the second half, the canvas did not change with the Turks setting a frenetic pace to which the Juventus defense struggled to find a solution. Segafredo manages to find more offensive solutions than in the previous partial, but the difficulties in bringing out a fluidity in the game are evident, due to the very high aggressiveness of the Fenerbahce defense. Virtus relies on Mickey and Hackett, hoping to stay in the game and try to come back in the second half. The halftime score is 58-29.
The second half reopened with a three-point basket from Wilbekin. Segafredo’s offensive production manages to find the lack of continuity but has to deal with Pierre, the best in this third partial for him, who offensively produces 13 points in this quarter. For the bianconeri, Belinelli is the light to follow who with his 4/5 from three tries to drag his teammates along: the only one to keep pace with him is Shengelia who reaches double figures with 10 points. The score at the end of the third set scores 85-52 for the yellow and blues. The last quarter, in full management for Fenerbahce, changes the balance on the pitch little because the Turks continue to find very few difficulties in getting to the rim, combined with very high shooting percentages, so much so that they reach 100 points. The game ends with Segafredo giving way on the score of 104-72.
