VIDEO ⟩ F-1 pilot Stroll opens the curtain on how bad his condition was just two weeks before the start of the season

Last weekend, the new F-1 season started with the Bahrain Grand Prix. Stroll won 7th place in this race. However, the Canadian’s participation in them was very doubtful until shortly before the start of the season.

Stroll suffered a fall on his bicycle on February 18, as a result of which he sustained fractures in both hands, as well as in the right big toe. Now the pilot has shown behind the scenes of his recovery process on his “Instagram” account.

“From the beginning, my medical team thought that I would miss not only the pre-season tests, but also some races,” Stroll wrote in the accompanying text.

Stroll was praised by other pilots in the comments section of the Instagram post.

“Simply phenomenal,” wrote Stroll’s team-mate Fernando Alonso.

“Hard work always pays off,” added Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz.

“The definition of perseverance,” wrote Stroll’s friend and Alpine pilot Esteban Ocon.

“A soldier,” added Pierre Gasly.

In the past season, Stroll took 15th place in the drivers’ standings with 18 points won.
