Union Berlin conceded a draw on the lawn of Wolfsburg this Sunday (1-1) and fell to 4th place.

Union Berlin conceded an 84th-minute equalizer through Wolfsburg substitute Patrick Wimmer on Sunday and had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The Union extends its series of four matches without victory in the league.

The Berliners, who had not scored in their last three Bundesliga games, took the lead when Croatian international Josip Juranovic misstepped goalkeeper Coen Kasteels to end their goal drought with a penalty in the 72nd minute.
But Wolves, who could have taken the lead at the break after hitting the post from a Mattias Svanberg free-kick and after Omar Marmoush sent his shot to the post at half-time, equalized in the 84th minute.

The Union is retreating

Austria international Wimmer scored two minutes into the game following a superb combination between Wolfsburg’s four substitutes to salvage a deserved point for the hosts. Union have slipped to fourth with 45 points, while Wolves, who have won just one of their last seven league games, are eighth with 35 points.
