TSV 1860 Munich against Elversberg: increase, but no victory – sport

With their best performance so far this calendar year, the footballers of TSV 1860 Munich did not win again, but at least played 1: 1 (1: 1) against the third division leaders SV Elversberg. “We fought our way as a team today,” said defender Jesper Verlaat. Under the new coach Maurizio Jacobacci you have “better solutions” and “more self-confidence”.

At the beginning, however, the visitors dominated at will against a shy sixty and deservedly took the lead after 18 minutes: Nico Antonitsch, who moved to Saarland from FC Ingolstadt during the winter break, scored with a header from a corner kick. A little later, Manuel Feil was alone in front of Sixty’s goalkeeper Marco Hiller (28th minute), who was able to distinguish himself several times in a one-on-one that evening. The equalizer came out of nowhere: Joseph Boyamba, who was already in the top sixties during the guest appearance in Duisburg (2:2), scored with a cross from the half field (34th).

The goal gave self-confidence, at times the lions were able to balance the game; Elversberg remained dangerous in the second half after set pieces, so Marcel Correia failed with a header on the crossbar (67th). Sixty’s junior national player Marius Wörl only hit the inside post with a flick (79′), in a hectic final phase both teams missed good chances of scoring.
