LaLiga continues to squeeze Barça and Gavi is no longer registered as a player in the Blaugrana first team for all intents and purposes. His renewal has been paralyzed while waiting for the Blaugrana club to manage its salary limit. The situation is complicated because Barça should reduce that salary mass by 200 million or greatly improve their income, but the Blaugrana club has guaranteed one hundred percent to both Gavi and Araujo that their new contracts will come into force this summer.

The Blaugrana sports area, which maintains a very good relationship with the representatives of the two players, has made it very clear that the agreed renewals will be an absolute priority and the first registrations for next season will be those of these two players. Barça will also have to register the new contract of Sergi Roberto, that of Marcos Alonso and those of Busquets and Balde if they end up renewing. But Gavi and Araujo are absolutely strategic and their situation will be the first to arrive.

In fact, Barça could even sacrifice a signing if the case arose to give entry to these two footballers. The room for maneuver is going to be very complicated and will require some million-dollar sales to balance the figures, but there is no doubt that all the renewals will enter the new salary limit and that there will be room to incorporate the players that are considered necessary to reinforce the new template.

Both Gavi and Araujo are somewhat disappointed with this situation, but they understand the situation that Barça is going through and in no case do they intend to leave, even though they could release them in the extreme case that they could not be registered. The two rejected very important offers to continue at the Camp Nou charging less and they will continue yes or yes in Xavi Hernández’s project.
