Legendary ex-quarterback Tom Brady announced that he had acquired shares of the Las Vegas Aces, organization of the WNBA, on Thursday.
Owner Mark Davis confirmed the whole thing in a press release.
“Since I bought the Aces, our goal has been to win on and off the field,” the businessman wrote. Tom Brady is a huge addition, not just to the Aces and the WNBA, but to all of women’s professional sports.”
The Aces posted a 50-18 record and won their first championship in 2022 since acquiring Davis in 2021. Davis also owns the majority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL.
“I have always been a huge fan of women’s sports and admire the work that the players and staff of the Aces, as well as the WNBA, have done to grow the sport and pave the way for future generations of women. athletes,” Brady said.
