They deny the measures of Barça, Madrid and Athletic against LaLiga Impulso-CVC

The measures presented by Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Athletic Club against the LaLiga Impulso-CVC project have not come to fruition. The Provincial Court of Madrid has notified LaLiga today of the denial of the requested precautionary measures that were intended to stop the project. The three clubs already considered an alternative to this option a few years ago. It is the third time that justice has denied the adoption of precautionary measures since this request was made as an appeal by the three clubs against the order of the Court of First Instance, which had denied it.

“The Provincial Court “ratifies the non-existence of both the appearance of good law, and the non-existence of danger in default”, that is, neither of the two assumptions for the adoption of a precautionary measure.

“The same Statutes of LaLiga, contemplate the possibility that third parties outside it participate corporately in the commercial activities of LaLiga, displaying this full capacity of self-organization with regard to its private legal scope of action,” the order also adds.

Finally, it should be noted that the Provincial Court proceeds to impose the procedural costs incurred by Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Athletic Club.

“LaLiga welcomes the ruling that once again ratifies the legitimacy of the clubs’ agreement with CVC, which has the support of 38 signatory clubs, and has allowed these clubs to project investments, without counting on public aid, which otherwise would have been unapproachable and that will accelerate the growth of the clubs in terms of investment, infrastructure, internationalization and professionalization, among others, in 20 years”.

“Once again LaLiga regrets the selfish position of the claimant clubs who insist on stopping a project to which 38 clubs have joined, plus the four promoted this season, which is a joint project that benefits everyone and has been imitated by the professional leagues of Italy, France and Germany, who have seen in the project led by LaLiga an inspiration to stimulate their own growth”.

“LaLiga is confident that despite the repeated attempts of an interested minority, justice will continue to bet on resolving in favor of the common benefit inherent in a project like LaLiga Impulso, which involves an investment of 2,000 million euros in professional football, with the consequent growth for the sports and regional ecosystem of the clubs’ areas of influence”.
