There he is! 41-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores first goal in 14 months and takes record (and there was a lot of Italian drama involved)

Ibrahimovic had not scored since January 9, 2022, when in the league match between Venezia and Milan. The Swede suffered from injuries for a long time afterwards. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has become the oldest ever goalscorer in Serie A. The Swedish striker of AC Milan used a penalty kick in the Italian league match against Udinese. Aged 41 years and 166 days, Ibrahimovic replaces Italian Alessandro Costacurta as the oldest goalscorer in Serie A, according to data agency Gracenote May 19, 2007 scored. Remarkably enough, the defender also did that from a penalty against Udinese.

The Rossoneri could not enjoy the equalizer for long, because barely two minutes later, after weak defending, Udinese was already ahead: Beto made it 2-1. With 20 minutes to go, Ehizibue even made it 3-1: that was also the final score. Milan is therefore in danger of falling out of the top four by the end of the weekend, Udinese is moving up to eighth place.

Alexis Saelemaekers started for Milan in the starting line-up and was substituted after 64 minutes. Charles De Ketelaere and Divock Origi came on fifteen minutes before the end, Aster Vranckx remained on the bench.
