The World City Championship disrupted by the weather

Miguel Tabuena and Taichi Kho were only at hole number 3 when they heard the siren sound. Indeed, faced with the weather conditions, the World City Championship had to stop. “The course, including the bunkers and approach areas, was waterlogged after the heavy downpours”declared, in particular, Chokchai Boonprasert, the director of the tournament.

The game will not resume until Sunday morning in Hong Kong (8:05 a.m. local time, 1:05 a.m. in France). The organizers have therefore decided that this edition will end this Sunday, at the end of the third round, in 54 holes.

Taichi Kho not far from a feat

Taichi Kho is therefore only 16 holes away from becoming the first Hong Konger to win an event on the Asian circuit. On the first two played this Saturday, the 22-year-old increased his lead by birdie at 1.

On this hole, his dolphin Miguel Tabuena conceded a double bogey before recovering thanks to a birdie at 2. The Filipino is now four strokes behind the leader.
