TRENTO. The sixth edition of the Trento Sports Festival will take place from 12 to 15 October 2023, and will have the theme “The great beauty”.
Still too early for names which, explains Gianni Valenti, scientific director of the Festival and vicar deputy director of the Gazzetta dello sport, “will arrive towards the summer”.
What is certain, says Maurizio Rossini, managing director of Trentino marketing, is that sports such as “martial arts and judo will be valued alongside basketball and climbingactivities already consolidated”.
“Almost a thousand people are involved in organizing the Sports Festival”, recalls Rossini, who already anticipates that “the trend will be to experience the Festival in open-air places, such as courtyards and squares”. A Festival that “will bring many tourists and many sportsmen to Trentino”, commented the provincial councilor for sport, Roberto Failoni.
“Trento and Trentino became the capitals of sport in those days. This is a source of pride for us”, commented the president of the Province, Maurizio Fugatti, who introduced the presentation press conference. “I want to recall the latest results that Sighel had in the current World Cup”, said Fugatti referring to the skater from Trentino.
“We are getting organized for the Olympics and Paralympics in Trentino”. At Villa Rosa di Pergine, added the president of the Province of Trento, “a project for Paralympic sport is being born. There is the desire to make Villa Rosa a center for Paralympic sport, given that we know how the Paralympics in Trentino they’ve been growing in recent years.”
“The road is paved, the bet is won. It will be a long and wonderful journey”, the president of Coni, Giovanni Malagò said in a video message. “I have seen this formidable idea grow year after year, day after day,” explained Malagò. According to the president of Coni Trentino, Paola Mora, “the Sports Festival has now entered our Trentino sports watch”.
“Combining the apex of sport with what is the baseenthusiasts, it’s not for all events, it’s not for all places”, said Mora, who thanked “Gazzetta, the Province and the Municipality”, but also “all the voluntary organizations” that are dedicated to the Festival.
