The nine ‘quarterbacks’ who will earn more than 40 million in 2023… and Mahomes is not even on the podium

7/10Deshaun Watson is the fourth highest paid quarterback in the NFL. After playing between 2017 and 2021 for the Houston Texans, last season he signed for the Cleveland Browns. He will collect 230 million in five years, at a rate of 46 million per season.

8/10Kyler Murray has been the ‘quaterback’ of the Arizona Cardinals since 2019. He has a contract of 230.5 million dollars for five seasons, so he earns 46.1 million per year. He closes the podium of the highest paid ‘quarterbacks’ in the NFL.

9/10Russell Wilson led the Seattle Seahawks, a team in which he played between 2012 and 2021, to win the Super Bowl in 2014 but in 2022 he signed for the Denver Broncos with a stratospheric contract of 245 million for five years, at a rate of 49 million by season.

10/10And the best paid is… Yes, the great Aaron Rodgers, standard-bearer for the Green Bay Packers since 2005, whom he led to win the Super Bowl in 2011. At 39, he has a contract of 150.8 million for three years, at a rate of 50.266 million per season. His future, however, is uncertain as he could go to the New York Jets and even retire.
