The mythical Rick Pitino signs for 6 years with St. John’s

The legendary coach Rick Pitino has reached an agreement for the next 6 seasons with the New York University of St. John’s, confirmed sources from the media ESPN.

Pitino, who will be officially presented next Tuesday at Madison Square Garden, returns to the Big East Conference of the NCAA after occupying the bench of the Iona Gaels between 2010 and 2013 where I obtained a remarkable record of 64-22.

«I am not sad because my stage has ended here. Quite the opposite. I’m very happy that it happened,” admitted Rick Pitino. «To all my players during these last three years. All I can say is that you know how much I love you,” he said.

With his recent signing, St. John’s hopes to find the stability it hasn’t had in the last decade. The names of Mike Jarvis, Norm Roberts, Steve Lavin or Chris Mullin among others have passed through his bench.

Pitino, 70 years old, has had an extensive career in the world of basketball between the NCAA, NBA, Greece or the combined teams of Puerto Rico and Greece:
