THE BALL – Champions League: Barcelona and Arsenal advance to the semi-finals (see the goals) (Women’s Football)

Barcelona and Arsenal are the first semi-finalists of the Champions League 2022/2023, having left behind Roma and Bayern, respectively, in the quarter-finals.

The formation blaugrana thrashed, this Wednesday, against Roma, by 5-1, in the second leg of the quarterfinals, played at Camp Nou, after having already won the first game, in the Italian capital (1-0). The Catalans reached the break leading by 3-0, with goals from Fridolina Rolfo (11′ and 45+3′) and Mapi León (33′). In the second half, Asisat Oshoala (46′) and Patricia Guijarro (53′) made the score 5-0, with Annamaria Serturini reducing for Roma, at 58′. On the Barcelona side, Geyse Ferreira, who has already played for Benfica, came on at 66′.

In London, Arsenal, who had lost to Bayern in the first leg (0-1), turned the tie, winning by 2-0 in the second leg, played at the Emirates Stadium. Frida Maanum (19′) and Stina Blackstenius (26′) scored the goals.

On Thursday, the other two teams that go to the semi-finals of the millionaire league will be known. Paris Saint-Germain and Wolfsburg enter the field at 17.45 hours, with the Germans in advantage in the tie (1-0), while Lyon and Chelsea measure forces at 20 hours. The Londoners defeated the French in the first leg, by 1-0.
