Marc-André ter Stegen demonstrated this at the press conference on Thursday. One question after another was directed at the man from FC Barcelona, the aim was always the same: How does it feel to be number one for the first time? What radiance does the number one have to the outside world? How big is the chance now of being in goal at the European Championship? Is this the opportunity to complete the career?
Ter Stegen listened to every question, looked at the questioner attentively, but otherwise showed not the slightest emotion. No look up or anywhere for an answer, no mouth twisting in any direction, no grabbing of the hair. Marc-André ter Stegen, 30 years old, just as many caps, seemed like someone who rolls off everything.
