Tennis: Atp Indian Wells, Sinner batte Fritz e va in semifinale – Tennis

(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 17 – Jannik Sinner conquers the semifinal of the ATP 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, California.

In the quarterfinals, the 21-year-old South Tyrolean tennis player No. 13 in the world and 11th in the US scoreboard eliminated the 25-year-old American reigning champion Taylor Fritz, No. 5 in the ATP rankings and fourth seed, by 6-4 4-6 6-4.

In the next round Sinner will face the winner of the match between the 19 Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (n.2 in the world and 1 in seeding) and the 22-year-old Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime (n.10 in ATP, eighth seed).

In the double knockout in the quarterfinals for Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini, eliminated by John Isner and Jack Sock with a score of 6-2 6-4. (HANDLE).
