Judo. The young fighters of the judo department of TV Vaihingen have made a successful start to the new competition season. At the district championships, all fighters in the U11 age group qualified for the North Württemberg championships.
With eight starters in seven different weight classes, the TVV was very well represented at the competition. Moritz Weigelt (weight class up to 29.3 kilograms) made the start. While the young judoka won his first fight with a nice throw, he lost the second fight with a hold despite good approaches while standing and on the ground. The third duel, which he won after just five seconds, went better and even became district champion due to the better undervaluation.
Leo Ritschel (28.4 kilograms) started his first competition very successfully. After a quick win after 20 seconds, the next fight was very even and lasted the full fight time. His opponent scored with the final gong and won this fight. Ritschel won the third fight again after a short time and thus achieved second place.
Leon-Jamie Kölsch (27.5 kilograms) also stood on a competition tatami for the first time and you could tell he was nervous. He lost the first two fights of his judo career through a hold and a throwing technique and finished third.
Robert Neubauer and Adam Drbalek fought in the same class (33.4 kilograms). Both won the first fight with a throwing technique and then met each other. The internal fight went through a small rating to Neubauer. He was also able to decide the third fight in his favor with a hold.
Adam Drbalek went full fight time in the third fight and won the fight by referee decision as neither scored and he was the more active fighter. As a result, Neubauer took first place and Adam Drbalek second.
Eliah Sakarli (35.4 kilograms) lost his first fight after a short time. He only turned it up after that and won the two subsequent fights and took second place.
Filip Drbalek (38.7 kilograms) only had one opponent, so the title was decided in three duels. He lost the first fight by a small score. Since he won the next fight by referee decision, a playoff had to bring the decision. Again, he was the more active fighter and won again by referee decision. This made him district champion.
Luca Heilemann (49.5 kilograms) had no opponent and was therefore district champion without a fight. red
