Next Sunday, March 12, the first Regional Championship will be held in Sciacca
of Darts, single and double. It is a competition valid for the regional ranking and for the assignment of the regional single and double champion title 2023. The winner of the single will be qualified by right for the Italian Individual Championship, while both the single and the double winner will be able to access the selection for the World Master. The match will be played on three different platforms and each participant will be required to wear the game uniform. For the Single regional tournament, groups of 4 fans will be played, while for the Doubles, it will start with two groups of four pairs each. The championship will take place at the headquarters of the “Sciacca Darts” in via Lanza, a competition that will involve enthusiasts from all over Sicily.
And let’s move on to martial arts. Over the weekend, double engagement for the Karate Judo Club of Sciacca. In Avola, appointment with the Regional Judo Championship and with the first test for the Beginners category. Excellent performances for Beatrice Saladino and Virginia Monteleone: in fact, both finished first in their weight category. As far as the Kata is concerned, however, the Saccense association took part in the twentieth edition of the Tuscan Open. Good test for the local athletes, but unfortunate. In Kata Juniores nothing to do for Francesca Fazio and for Vincenzo Interrante. Both, despite a good demonstration on the platform, did not pass the first round. Finally, in the Under 14 Kata, it went better for Francesco Restivo who passed the first round getting a good score. He also performed a good Kata in the second round, but the low score does not allow him to enter the third round. Score that fits him rather tight. To accompany the athletes the instructor Michele Catanzaro who says he is satisfied with the performance, also because these young athletes have returned with a good amount of extra experience to be exploited in view of the next seasonal competitive appointments.
