Spain beats a Norway without Haaland

Spain began a new era with Luis de la Fuente as coach, taking this Saturday a 3-0 victory against Norway in the qualifiers for the 2024 European Championship.

Joselu, a striker for Espanyol, came on after 81 minutes and shook the net twice to seal the victory in the match for Group A. Dani Olmo opened the account in the first half.

Norway accused the absence of Haaland, the formidable Manchester City attacker, due to a muscle ailment.

La Roja jumped to the La Rosaleda stadium in Malaga, noting the personnel changes arranged by De la Fuente, a former coach of the Spain U21 team, who replaced Luis Enrique in December.

But Spain had a hard time against Norway. The visitors wasted multiple opportunities to level the match before Joselu dressed as a hero.

“I think it’s not bad to suffer, it’s inherent to the game… There’s a lot to improve, but I’m very happy”. said of The Source.

Spain’s next game will be on Tuesday in Scotland and Norway will visit Georgia. The first two of each group will access Euro 2024 in Germany.
