Walk ‘Healthy 100% Seodaemun’ in Ansan, Bukhansan, and Inwangsan

Starting in April, the ‘Mountain Walking Club’ is operated at 4 locations for 90 minutes once a week.

On April 7, at 2:00 PM, the ‘Mountain Walking Club Launching Ceremony’ was held at the auditorium of the ward office.

Seodaemun-gu (Chief Lee Seong-heon) is recruiting members of the ‘Mountain Walking Club’ to promote residents’ health, and from April, walking programs are held in two places in Ansan (鞍山), Bukhansan Mountain and one each in Inwangsan Mountain.


A total of 565 people participated in the pilot operation conducted in the second half of last year over a total of 49 times, and this year, the course was newly adjusted to reflect the needs of the existing participants.

It is held once a week for 90 minutes per location, and residents, office workers and university students in the region can apply to participate.

Each mountain has a different meeting time and place. ▲ Ansan A is at 9:00 am on Friday in front of the Seodaemun Youth Center ▲ Ansan B is at 10:00 am on Tuesday in front of Dongnimmun Gate ▲ Bukhansan is at 8:00 am on Thursday at Silak Children’s Park badminton court ▲ Inwangsan is at 10 am on Wednesday at Muakjae Station Exit 1, etc.

Members of the walking club are always recruited. For more information, please refer to the notice on the district website.

The district will also hold the ‘Mountain Walking Club Launching Ceremony’ at the auditorium of the district office at 2:00 pm on April 7th.

It will be held for 2 hours, including oath of residents’ walking leader, special lecture on ‘walking and health’, exercise education using gymnastics and props.

In addition, as a pre-program, ‘gait analysis and plantar pressure measurement counseling’ will be conducted from 1:00 pm on the same day.

Lee Seong-heon, head of Seodaemun-gu Office, said, “We expect that the sustainable walking program led by residents will serve as an opportunity to increase daily vitality and improve health.”
