Saudia partner of the Aston Martin F1 team

Saudia, the airline of Saudi Arabia, has been named the official worldwide airline partner of the British Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula 1 (AMF1) team for the 2023 season.

Fans can follow the 2023 Formula 1 season with Saudia by flying to races in Bahrain, Italy, Spain, Monaco, Canada, Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, USA , Qatar and Abu Dhabi. In a statement, the airline said it connects customers from more than 100 destinations around the world to the Kingdom through its hub at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and other cities in Saudi Arabia.

“We have been very selective in choosing the best sports teams in the world that share our vision. Passionate about innovation and sustainability driven initiatives, we believe Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team is the perfect partner. We are looking forward to delivering unforgettable experiences for Formula 1 fans in the Kingdom and beyond throughout the 2023 season,” said Khaled Tash, Marketing Director of Saudia Group.

For his part, Jefferson Slack, CEO of the AMF1 is delighted with the partnership with Saudia. According to him, “there is a strategic alliance between the world of air transport and that of Formula 1. We will explore it together while controlling our carbon footprint in terms of travel”. And the manager said that the arrival of Saudia “not only underlines the opportunities that Formula 1 offers to companies on an unprecedented global scale, but also emphasizes the strength and appeal of the Aston Martin name for like-minded brands seeking unique and collaborative partnerships”.

Aston Martin’s good start to the season

The recent Saudi Arabian Grand Prix notably saw Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso finish in third place.
