Santi Aldama’s Grizzlies secure the ‘Playoffs’ with a triple record against Usman Garuba’s Rockets

Santi Aldama’s Memphis Grizzlies have qualified for the NBA Playoffs after overwhelmingly beating Usman Garuba’s Houston Rockets (151-114) this morning, with the franchise’s triple record (25).

The 10 triples in 11 attempts coming off the bench of guard Luke Kennard -who closed the game with 30 points- guided the Tennessees to victory, all in a game in which Ja Morant returned to action as a substitute after serving his suspension for his incident at a Colorado nightclub.

Meanwhile, the Canarian power forward Santi Aldama, who signed the triple number 23 that tied the franchise record, contributed to the victory with eight points -2 of 2 shots from the field, both triples, and 2 of 2 from the personal line -, to which he added six rebounds, two assists and a steal in his 26 minutes of participation.

Opposite, the Castilian-La Mancha Usman Garuba enjoyed 19 minutes on the court, in which he scored two points -1 of 2 shots from the field- and grabbed three rebounds.

With this victory, the Grizzlies establish themselves in the second position in the West (46-27) and become the second team in the conference to guarantee their presence in the ‘Playoffs’. In the same conference, the Rockets (18-56) remain sunk in last place.
