Real Madrid are pushing Asensio towards the exit

Real attacking player Marco Asensio’s contract expires this summer. However, the Spaniard really wants to continue playing in the Spanish capital. A few months ago, Real made an offer for a new contract for the first time.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, this working paper should include cuts in the player’s salary. According to the Spanish sports magazine, Asensio is not willing to accept this offer from the Madrilenians.

He is said to prefer a salary increase to 6 million euros per year. According to “fussballtransfers.com”, the three-time CL winner currently earns 4 million euros a year.

Real are concerned that the 27-year-old hasn’t gotten over the role of substitute lately. The club is not willing to increase the salary and is pushing him towards a free transfer.

The situation around the 35-time national player of “Furia Roja” remains complicated. According to “Mundo Deportivo”, there is no indication of a rapprochement.

Asensio joined Real Madrid in 2015 and has been at Real Madrid continuously since 2016 after a loan spell at Espanyol Barcelona. He scored 266 for “The White Ballet”. Among other things, he won the UEFA Champions League three times with the club.
