On January 14, Abdou Diallo injured his left knee in RB Leipzig’s friendly against Mlada Boleslav (4-0). Now the comeback of the French central defender is on the horizon. After Diallo had already completed a few parts of the training session last week, he returned to full team training for the first time on Tuesday afternoon – even if he still held back when it came to duels.
How quickly the 26-year-old, who is on loan from Paris St. Germain to Leipzig for this season, will be able to play again is still open. In the current season, Diallo has played eleven competitive games for RB and has been in the starting line-up eight times. The former Dortmund and Mainz player’s last appearance was on November 5 in a league game in Hoffenheim (3-1).
