Rastorgujevs finishes in the TOP 10 in the PK stage at a distance of 15 km

Latvian biathlete Andrejs Rastorgujevs won ninth place in Sweden on Sunday in the 15-kilometer distance of the World Cup stage with a joint start. Norwegian Velte Shostad Kristiansen won the victory thanks to perfect shooting.

Rastorgujev shot quickly and accurately in the first shooting while lying down, which allowed him to return to the front of the large group on the track. Also in the second firing line, the Aluk native was unerring and kept his place in the leader group, which was led by Kristiansens with a ten-second lead. In the first standing shooting, Rastorgujev made one mistake, due to which he retreated to the second group, but Kristansen maintained a small lead with an error-free shooting. Even in the last shooting, Rastorgujev did not close a single target and returned to the track in 12th place, a few seconds behind the ninth position.

Kristiansen was also accurate in the final shoot and cruised to victory, finishing in 35 minutes and 17.0 seconds. The second place was won by his compatriot Johannes Dahl, and the third was the Frenchman Eric Perot, who measured one penalty lap and lost 9.1 and 12.3 seconds, respectively.

Rastorgujev overtook the nearest competitors and was 40.3 seconds behind, winning the ninth place.

In the first competition in Annecy, the Norwegian biathlete Dahl celebrated the victory in this discipline, while in Rupolding, the overall leader of the World Cup, the Norwegian Johannes Tingnes Bä, won the victory. Before the final three races of the season, Bae, who has accumulated 1319 points, is 371 points ahead of Sturl Holm Lehreide and is uncatchable. 246 points give Rastorgujev 27th place. In the race with a common start, after three out of four races, Kristiansen is the first with 210 points, beating Dahl by 22 points. Rastorgujev, who participated in two matches, is in 22nd place with 54 points.

Next week, the World Cup competition will end with the stage in Oslo.
