PSG: He spills the beans for his future, Zidane upset?

Hungry for sport, he grew up to the sound of Formula 1 engines and the exploits of Ronaldinho. Today, a graduate of a Master’s degree in sports journalism, he no longer misses an F1 Grand Prix or a PSG match, his two passions and specialties.

On Sunday, PSG conceded their seventh defeat in 2023, against Rennes at the Parc des Princes (0-2). A result which further weakens the position of Christophe Galtier whose future seems more uncertain than ever. But the French technician recalls that he has signed up for two seasons, while Zinedine Zidane seems to be in ambush to replace him.

Criticized since the beginning of 2023, Christophe Galtier sees his future at the head of the PSG weaken. And defeat against Rennes Sunday (0-2) does not help, especially since the shadow of Zinedine Zidane continues to hover above the Parc des Princes. But Christophe Galtier assures that he has a two-season project.

Galtier sees a 2-year project

« You talk about my future. I came here in this project, a two-year project. Everyone speculates on what will happen at the end of the season. My only goal is to be champion. Will this defeat generate a reflection on the part of my management? Maybe. But you have to put everything in context. With a squad where we were missing eight players. And a mandatory change because Timothée Pembele left at half-time through injury », launches the coach of the PSG before adding another layer.

“We must not let go”

« I did not project myself into the future or my future. I am projected on the 10 matches that remain. Simply finish the championship by being champion and making good matches. Afterwards, I live it with a lot of lucidity, trying to have the most accurate analysis, trying to unite the players so as not to let go. The season is far from over. There are competitors behind. I repeat, we must not let go. I am in action, I am not passive, nor worried about myself, simply determined that we have a good end to the season and that we are champions of France. But for that, my squad will have to be more complete and we will have to be able to find our vital forces, especially in defense and on the sides, to have a much livelier and more alert game like during the first part of the season. », added Christophe Galtier.
