Swiss tennis pro Dominic Stricker (ATP 153) wins an ATP Challenger tournament in Rovereto, Italy, for the fourth time in his career.
In the final, the 20-year-old from Bern prevailed 7: 6 (10: 8), 6: 2 against local Giulio Zeppieri (ATP 127).
Stricker did the main work in the first set, when he caught up a 2:5 deficit, fended off a total of five set balls and grabbed his first chance in the tie-break himself. The left-hander will climb back into the top 120 thanks to his success in the world rankings. His goal must be to gain around 20 places by mid-April in order to be right in the main draw at the French Open.
