On the way to the top 100. Fourth Challenger title for Dominic Stricker.

It’s good to laugh: Dominic Stricker showed his best performance of the year at the Challenger tournament in Rovereto

Swiss tennis pro Dominic Stricker (ATP 153) wins an ATP Challenger tournament in Rovereto, Italy, for the fourth time in his career.

In the final, the 20-year-old from Bern prevailed 7: 6 (10: 8), 6: 2 against local Giulio Zeppieri (ATP 127).

Stricker did the main work in the first set, when he caught up a 2:5 deficit, fended off a total of five set balls and grabbed his first chance in the tie-break himself. The left-hander will climb back into the top 120 thanks to his success in the world rankings. His goal must be to gain around 20 places by mid-April in order to be right in the main draw at the French Open.
