Norway beaten! France wins the mixed relay

Cheers in the French biathlon camp! The quartet of Jeanmonnot, Colombo, Perrot and Fabien Claude stayed in the lead throughout the race and won 33.6 seconds ahead of Sweden.

The French team only needs seven spares in windy conditions. Despite their 18, Sweden still manages to come in second, third is the otherwise so dominant Norwegian team (0+16 spares/38.3 seconds). However, both Boe brothers are missing there, who cannot participate due to positive corona findings.

ÖSV team long in the lead

Austria starts with the line-up of Anna Gandler, Tamara Steiner, David Komatz and Harald Lemmerer and finishes eighth. Up to anchor Lemmerer, Austria is doing very well in fourth place, only needing three spares until then.

The ÖSV final runner goes too fast and tries to keep up with the Norwegian Strömsheim in round one. He pays for that at the shooting range, where he has to go into the penalty loop once.

On the final lap he then lacks the strength to assert himself against the Czech, who can still overtake Lemmerer shortly before the finish. Austria needs a total of seven spares, plus Lemmerer’s penalty loop.

It continues on Sunday: From 3:15 p.m. the final single-mixed relay will take place on the stage, with Simon Eder and Lisa Hauser at the start for the ÖSV.
