Night of the Blues: Olivier Sarr shows up at OKC, Killian Hayes (Detroit) on his way

It is a nice return to the NBA that the Niortais pivot is experiencing Olivier Sarr (2.10 m, 24 years old), for a fortnight. Cut by Portland last November, at the end of the preseason, the French interior finds light and playing time in the NBA in Oklahoma City since the beginning of March, via a “two way” contract (G-League and NBA ). Against the Clippers, Jaylen Hoard’s former partner at Wake Forest (2018-2019) played his fourth game of the season, the most successful of all, in a tunic where he had already compiled 22 games last year. With an increased playing time (19 minutes), the Frenchman accumulated 4 points (1 out of 4 on shots), 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and a ratio of +8 during his presence on the floor, in the success from OKC to the Clippers (100-101).

The other Habs of the Thunder, Ousmane Dieng, played 8 minutes for 3 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist. Opposite, Nicolas Batum spent 24 minutes in the field for a modest return (5 pts at 2/4, 1 assist). The Olympic vice-champion in Tokyo, however, almost tilted the meeting in the Clippers’ camp, scoring the basket which brought the Californians to a point with 56 seconds remaining. But Kawhi Leonard then failed on the last possession.

Finally, at ease for several matches, Killian Hayes continued its momentum and chained a new good performance, despite the fourth defeat in a row for the Detroit Pistons, beaten this time in Atlanta (129-107). The former Choletais cracked 21 points (7/17 on shots) and 6 assists in 34 minutes, thus compiling a sixth consecutive game with more than ten points.
