He was annoyed by “how people try to talk it up afterwards,” said the 59-time national player: “I wonder what the claim is. We muddle along and say it’ll be fine. But nothing will work out in the constellation.”
Hamann would sort out Müller, Neuer and Gündogan
Hamann also calls for a change in the team. “A Müller, a Neuer, a Gündogan – they were at the last three tournaments. You have to give me a reason why one of three should be there again next time,” said Hamann: “There is no question that they have great merit. But time stops for no one. You have to make a cut now.”
