Excellent performances expressed by the athletes of the competitive team belonging to the ASD Army – 187th Folgore Parachute Regiment of Livorno, officially summoned by the Tuscan Regional Committee for Karate sector (CRTK), to represent the “Pegasus” region (symbol of Tuscany) at the Italian championship for regional representatives, organized by the Italian Judo, Karate and Martial Arts Federation (FIJLKAM), over the weekend just ended, at the “Palapellicone” Olympic Center at Lido di Ostia, in Rome.
Unequivocal competence and ability have been demonstrated with the conquest of the bronze medal by the Lucchese Andrea Bozzi from Folgorino and with competitive performances full of pure energy and involving emotional tensions, perceived by the particularly hard-fought matches, peculiarities of the Italian athlete.
Bozzi once again proved to be unstoppable in the “Junior” 76 kg class and, in the race, dominated the dispute in the “final”. After the victories achieved in the repechage phase, he overcame the last match with a clear 4 to 0, thus winning the third step of the podium at the prestigious and long-awaited competition.
Among the technical staff of the region, the technical director of the ASD 187°, Antonio Citi, was also summoned for the important event, as regional technical collaborator, who followed the athletes in the race.
