Motorcycle World Cup | Follow the MotoGP 2023 race in Portimao live

The Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) has conquered this Saturday at the Portuguese Grand Prix the first sprint race of the Motorcycle World Championship to become the first MotoGP leader, after winning ahead of the Spanish Jorge Martín (Ducati) and Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda), who hours earlier secured pole position in Portimao.

‘Pecco’, current champion of the premier class, waited for the opportune moment to settle the final blow on Martín, leader for a large part of the 12 laps -half of which will make up the long race- that the pilots gave to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

The transalpine got behind the wheel of the man from Madrid in the last lap and, when the latter began to suffer from tire degradation, he overtook him to win the 12 points that the short race in Portimao distributed. Martín settled for nine points, while Marc Márquez added seven.
