Milan, calf injury for Kalulu: no Naples for the French defender

MILAN

Nuovi esami previsti per settimana prossima: si profila uno stop di almeno una ventina di giorni

Bad news for the Milan. This morning – inform the AC Milan club – Pierre Kalulu was subjected to control tests which showed a lesion of the soleus muscle of the right calf. A new instrumental check will be carried out in a week. Translated: for the transalpine defender who was injured in recent days while he was in training camp with the France Under 21 team, a break of at least twenty days is looming (calf injuries always hide pitfalls and require the utmost caution in the recovery process) . Therefore the absence of the resumption of the championship in Maradona’s away match against the Napoli on 2 April, to exclude recovery for the following match, again in Serie A, against Empoli on 7 April. His presence in the Champions League against Napoli on 12 April is also difficult, if not impossible.

At this point, considering on the one hand the possible return to the back four and on the other the “heaviness” of an absence that deprives Pioli of the only player used in all 37 of the Rossoneri’s seasonal matches (obviously counting all competitions), for Milan a problem of no small importance. Immediately at Maradona, for next Sunday’s Serie A match, one can hypothesize the use of one between Thiaw and Kjaer alongside Tomori in the central pair, with Calabria on the right and Theo on the left. The timid hope is that the Frenchman will instead be available again for the next match against the Azzurri, ten days later in the Cup. Meanwhile, news is also awaited on the conditions of Ibrahimovic, who is also struggling with physical problems he accused in his training camp with the national team.
