Man City Wins 2-0 Over Newcastle, Continues To Paste Arsenal

Manchester City vs Newcastle United presented in the English Premier League. Manchester City secured three points with a 2-0 win through goals from Foden and Silva.

Manchester City vs Newcastle United took place at the Etihad Stadium, Saturday (4/3) evening WIB in the English Premier League. Phil Foden gave City a 1-0 lead in the first half. He scored a goal via a beautiful solo run in the 15th minute.

Bernardo Silva added to Manchester City’s advantage in the 67th minute, the hosts won 2-0. The result made City continue to pressure Arsenal at the top of the Premier League standings with a difference of 58 points to 60 points.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United, stuck in fifth place with 41 points. Watch out for being overtaken by Liverpool underneath, because it’s only two points difference.

Course of the Match

Manchester City immediately threatened when the game just entered one minute. Grealish sent a gastric cross to the front of the goal in a counter-attack scenario, then Gundogan headed it but still narrowly missed the target.

Kevin De Bruyne had a chance in the 12th minute. His free kick shot in front of the penalty box, even soared high.

Newcastle almost equalized. Longstaff had space to shoot in front of goal, lucky for City as Ake blocked it.

Newcastle then tried to put more pressure on them, but the strong defense of the host made it difficult for Almiron cs to penetrate the final third of the field.

Opportunity from Haaland! In the 36th minute, De Bruyne sent a cross to the front of the goal, Haaland chased and headed straight. The round skin is still thin sideways.

The referee blew the long whistle signaling the end of the first half. City while winning 1-0.
