“I played incredible, the last eleven holes I played 10 less, the truth is incredible and I think I clicked when I put it in from the front of the green on the 9th. That gave me an extra boost for the second nine, an excellent round came out,” he said. Marelli, winner of a title on the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica. “Finishing birdie birdie is very nice and doing a lap of 62 at the start is very important. I think it’s the lowest lap I’ve done on tour so I’m very happy to have done it here at Ranelagh. I have to continue with the same game, try to make my rhythm and be like this every day”, added the 31-year-old player from Casilda, in Buenos Aires.

For his part, PiguRomero continues to raise his level and showed that he is getting closer. “In the first leg I started irregularly, with only two pairs, but in the return it was very good and I ended up making seven less. I feel very good, comfortable and I am rediscovering myself on the green, which is what has always kept me going in my career. I am also feeling comfortable with the driver and I have to take advantage of these sensations”, said the man from Tucumán who won one title on the PGA TOUR and two on the European Tour. “I am changing, enjoying golf again, I was lost for a while, but today I am calm. The break of a couple of months was good for me, it made me miss golf and I really want to play and feel that adrenaline. I hope to continue like this”, added the “Pigu” who seeks to return to victory in the week of tribute to Maestro De Vicenzo.

Among other prominent local players, Clodomiro Carranza is in fifth place with 66 hits, while Tommy Cocha, Puma Domínguez, César Costilla and Ignacio Marino are in 11th place after registering 67 hits (-4).
