La Transgrancanaria closes its 2023 edition with thanks to the sponsors

The race director, Carlos Torrent, stressed the importance of all sponsors and collaborators. “Without all of you it would not have been possible to carry out the deployment that we have done this year,” he said during the ceremony held at the headquarters of the newspaper Canarias7. Torrent also highlighted the repercussion that the Transgrancanaria has had in this twenty-fourth edition: “It has undoubtedly been the most popular in history” not only because of the audience data, but also because of the monitoring carried out by more than 130 media from twenty countries.

In this sense, Wendy Cruz, director of Communication and Marketing at Arista Eventos, also spoke. “The support of all of you allows the live broadcast of the Transgrancanaria to reach the whole world,” she said, to invite them to be present at the next edition that already has a date: between February 21 and 25, 2024.

At the event, which was attended by the representatives of the sponsors, the official video of this edition was presented with the spectacular images that were followed by 1.7 million viewers. They reflect the passage of the runners through places as emblematic as Tejeda, one of the epicenters of the race; Roque Nublo, the Camino de La Plata or the spectacular departures of the Transgrancanaria Classic from Las Canteras beach and the Transgrancanaria Advanced from the Las Nieves pier, in Agaete, as well as the arrival at the Parque Sur in Maspalomas.

Arista Eventos, the organizer of the race, closes a historic edition and immediately opens the next one with the announcement made last week of the 2024 date, in addition to beginning to devise novelties to surprise the thousands of mountain runners who will return to be on the trails of Gran Canaria.

The Transgrancanaria 2023 has counted for this edition with the sponsorship of the institutions Cabildo de Gran Canaria through Turismo de Gran Canaria and Gran Canaria Isla Europea del Deporte, the Government of the Canary Islands with Promotur – Canary Islands, Maspalomas Costa Canaria, Municipal Institute of Sports of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Tejeda City Council; and SWE Companies, Fred. Olsen Express, San Roque University Hospitals, the only private hospital with the University category of all the Canary Islands; Expomeloneras, 226ERS and Sonocom Audiovisuales, as well as the collaboration of COROS, Petzl, Aguas de Teror, Ahembo, Emicela, Vivac Aventura, Lorenzo Gonzalez Automoción, Tirma, Hotel Aloe Canteras, Inerza and Provital.
