With a home win against Hagen, the Sartorius Juniors of BG Göttingen cemented their top position in the relegation round north of the junior basketball league. The violets, who still have to play a game, can no longer be pushed out of the top of the table.
Göttingen. The Sartorius Juniors of BG Göttingen remain leaders in the youth basketball Bundesliga (NBBL/U19). Head coach Venelin Berov’s team clearly defeated pursuers BBA Hagen 99:70 (42:34) and with one game day before the end of the season they can no longer be ousted from first place in the north relegation round. “It was an outstanding team effort,” said Berov after the game. “The boys showed character. My assistant coach Alex Marzok and I are proud of the team.”
