Ja Morant (Grizzlies) back on the court tonight against the Rockets

Dismissed from the prosecution since the beginning of March because of a video where he brandished a pistol, Ja Morant will make his return. His eight-game suspension imposed by the NBA being served, the Grizzlies point guard will replay against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night through Thursday.

After an absence of 20 days, Morant will gradually find playing time. His coach Taylor Jenkins has announced that his star player will come off the bench against the Rockets and that “it could be the case for a few matches”.

The return, on his floor of the FedExForum, is also more judicious than on an opposing ground, the opposing public being able to reserve him a more hostile reception outside of Tennessee after his actions. After nine matches without their star player, Memphis have only lost three times, proving a certain collective solidity. Second in the Western Conference, the Grizzlies intend to secure this place with the return of Ja Morant to their squad three weeks before the end of the regular season.
