For striker Sebastien Haller from Borussia Dortmund, the table situation before the Revierderby in the Bundesliga on Saturday (6.30 p.m. / Sky) at Schalke 04 has no meaning. “You can be first and last, but this game will be very different,” said the Frenchman on Sky.

“If you look at the table, Dortmund are the clear favourites,” said Haller, “but we know that derbies are never about the table. It’s all about this game and this rivalry. It’s about the will and who want to win the game more.” Dortmund is second in the table, Schalke is in a relegation zone.
Haller, who only made his debut for BVB after the winter break because of testicular cancer, feels “just getting better. I get a lot of help from the team, from the employees, from everyone.” It feels “great to feel better every day. But that’s just a small step to reach my full potential.”
