Independiente stayed and tied with Instituto in Avellaneda

Independiente couldn’t beat Instituto (@independiente).

Independiente, who had a two-goal advantage, tied this Sunday with Instituto de Córdoba, 2-2 and suffered a new disappointment against his people at the Libertadores de América-Ricardo Enrique Bochini stadium, in the match corresponding to the 6th. date of the Professional Soccer League, which dismissed him with whistles.

Martín Cauteruccio was the scorer for “Rojo” from Avellaneda, while Adrián Martínez and Nicolás Linares scored for the Cordoba team.

The Avellaneda club, which has yet to win at home, reached 6 points, while Instituto, which won only one victory in its last 18 away games, reached 9 points.

In an entertaining match, Independiente exhibited two faces in its performance. Leandro Stillitano’s team started better, with high pressure and put Instituto on the ropes.

Cauteruccio’s first goal, a penalty, at the behest of the VAR, meant a prize for “Red”, but it woke up the Institute. The visit was encouraged in attack and exposed its rival’s defensive shortcomings.

Independiente stretched the lead once again with Cauteruccio after a series of touches, but Martínez’s discount, with a header and no marks, called attention.

Instituto came out with everything in the second stage against a wobbly Independiente. Linares took advantage of another mistake by the red defense to equalize and goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey, with a great save against Fernando Alarcón, deprived La Gloria of the third.

Given the despair of Independiente and the fatigue of Instituto, the game entered a very emotional area in terms of the game, with situations in both arcs.

Independiente had it to win at the end with a double play: Ayrton Costa’s shot that Jorge Carranza rejected and Javier Baéz’s shot at the post.

The “Red” withdrew between whistles on an occasion that he did not know how to take advantage of, although he could also have suffered a worse result.

On the next date, Independiente will visit Barracas Central and Instituto will receive Atlético Tucumán.
