In Crozon, mother and daughter have a common passion – Crozon



Vice-champion of Finistère and ninth for her first participation in the regional championship, on February 11, the young archer from Crozon, Lara Morvan, nevertheless admits “having no ambition but a taste for challenge”. It has now been four years since the 16-year-old girl tested and became passionate about archery, which she practices with the Crozon Archers club. This one, at the dawn of its 30th anniversary, has just over 80 members, children and adults. “Archery is physically demanding, it requires concentration, work on balance, breath. I like this ! I like being in my bubble and practicing shooting relieves me of stress,” says Lara, who also managed to get rid of scoliosis thanks to this sport. And the one who admits to “preferring shooting outdoors to indoors” took her mother on this sporting adventure.

A sports schedule

“Six months after Lara, when I was afraid of anything close to weapons, I tried and … I was stung,” says Sylvie Morvan, paramedic, who is now part of the association’s office. and has started referee training with the regional committee. “We are both left-handed, we have equipped ourselves with our own equipment and it is a pleasure to share training together”, admits Sylvie, covering her champion with her eyes, who is preparing her bow a few steps away. Training reduced to one per week for Lara, who still practices bodybuilding and sheathing as she can, during her week as a second student, in high school in Douarnenez. “My school supports me, by monitoring my results and by adjusting the homework times according to the competitions… Super nice! “, smiles the high school student who, on weekends, must also work on the creation of a target for the next Saint-Sébastien of the club, patron saint of archers. “Every year, we organize a small party with shots and the winner must create the victorious target for the following year. This year, it’s my turn. But we won’t know any more, the theme of the target must remain top secret until next January!
